Physiatrist - Locum Tenens Coverage
About the role
Seeking a locum physiatrist for inpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation coverage. Provide comprehensive inpatient services, including rounding, consulting, and medical management during day shifts. Collaborate with a support team of one Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and one resident to coordinate care for adult patients. No call coverage required.
Ongoing position approximately two weeks per month, starting once credentialed. Support staff includes one APP and one resident; prescriptive authority is not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient physiatry services, including rounding and consulting.
- Deliver medical management for adult patients during day shifts.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Requirements
- Board certification is negotiable.
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a variable caseload.
