PHP Developer

About The Role

We are looking for a talented and motivated PHP Developer to join our development team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications, writing clean and scalable code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate has strong experience with PHP frameworks and a passion for backend development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and related technologies.
• Build efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP code.
• Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to deliver functional and responsive applications.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement security and data protection best practices.
• Maintain documentation and follow coding standards and development processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a strong portfolio or GitHub contributions.
• Proficient in PHP 7+/8 and understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience with at least one PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, Zend).
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (basic knowledge).
• Proficient in SQL and experience working with MySQL or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
• Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
• Understanding of MVC design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Laravel is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Docker, Composer, and modern PHP development tools.
• Knowledge of unit testing and test-driven development.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or DigitalOcean.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
