Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Process development, optimization, device integration
  • Architecture, characterization, analysis
  • Scale-up, yield improvement
  • Laboratory operating procedures

Required Skills

  • Experience with film deposition techniques of evaporation, sputtering, and reactive CVD
  • Experience fabricating and testing solar cells with novel materials including thin film silicon, perovskite solar cells, and III-V's specifically GaAs
  • Practical knowledge related to the manufacturing limitations of solar cells using novel materials
  • Familiarity with techniques such as solar simulation, quantum efficiency, hall measurements, current vs voltage, capacitance vs voltage, and microscopy
  • Experience with high vacuum and vacuum based deposition techniques
  • Strong technical report writing skills

Education/Experience

  • Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering with up to 5 years of experience

Other Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with techniques such as solar simulation, quantum efficiency, hall measurements, current vs voltage, capacitance vs voltage, and microscopy

Position Requirements

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position

HX5, LLC is a fast-growing veteran- and woman-owned company with locations nationwide. HX5, LLC is seeking an individual for its Materials Engineering department to augment the development and construction of high efficiency solar cells for nascent space applications.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering with up to 5 years of experience.
