About the Role
WBAY-TV seeks a News Photojournalist to integrate written, video, and audio content into stories for Action 2 News newscasts, wbay.com, and station social media platforms. This role involves shooting and editing video and interviews for newscasts, operating TVU backpacks and live trucks for live shots, and engaging audiences across digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Shoot, edit, and post video for newscasts, websites, mobile apps, and social media accounts.
- Edit video, images, and interviews to align with scripts for newscasts.
- Shoot video using phones or cameras as needed.
- Apply social media engagement techniques and social listening to discover stories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience working at a television station with a strong news department or a digital multi-platform news operation.
- Excellent conversational writing and communication skills.
- Experience with web and graphic design software, digital publishing applications, and multimedia production software.
- Proficiency with digital content management systems and Edius video editing.
