Photography Intern, Chartwells Higher Ed / Binghamton University
Position Summary
Join the Bearcat Dining marketing team as a Photography Intern and help capture the energy of campus dining! In this role, you’ll document events, food, and everyday student experiences through compelling photography and visual storytelling. You’ll play a key role in shaping how students see and experience dining, through photos used across social media, marketing campaigns, and campus promotions.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photos of dining events, food, and student experiences
- Edit and deliver photo content for social media, digital screens, and marketing materials
- Support content creation for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms
- Aid in event coverage and visual storytelling
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and creative direction
- Help maintain a consistent visual brand style across platforms

Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for photography and visual storytelling
- Experience with DSLR or mirrorless cameras
- Basic photo editing skills (Lightroom, Photoshop)
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
Work Details
- Flexible schedule (typically 10–20 hours/week)
- Some evening and weekend availability required for events
- On-campus student position
Learning Objectives
- Improve proficiency in using professional photography equipment (DSLR camera, etc.) and editing platforms (Adobe suite, etc.) to produce high-quality images for public viewing
- Learn to shoot according to brand standards
- Learn to apply marketing principles such as brand identity, campaign strategy, and visual storytelling to photography projects
- Build professional collaboration skills by participating in marketing meetings, contributing campaign ideas, and meeting project deadlines

- This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.

- Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks when food service needs decline or cease).
