About the role

Town & Country Living is a global leader in home décor, textiles, and design, with over 60 years of combined experience through our brands Home Dynamix and Amalgamated Textiles. This role is a creative leadership position in a high-volume, in-house studio, responsible for both technical execution and creative guidance in studio lighting, capturing techniques, and consistency for video and still photography. The Photographer/Videographer will collaborate with peers to set a productive and positive studio tone, evolve studio processes, and support the Data Asset Management System (DAM). This position plays a key role in elevating brand identity through captivating images and videos, working closely with the Creative Studio Manager and Creative Director of Marketing.

The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to create content for e-commerce, social media, signage, sales tools, corporate presentations, and marketing materials. An awareness of current and evolving online marketplace trends is essential. The Photographer/Videographer will help develop and expand brand guides for lifestyle brands and licensed partners, adapting to multiple visual brand identities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a creative leader and technical executor in a high-volume in-house studio, specializing in studio lighting for video and still photography.
  • Collaborate with production, styling, and post-production teams to plan, frame, execute, and direct shoots in studio and on location.
  • Capture still life, lifestyle, BTS, interviews, and stylized media with expertise in lighting, composition, and product detail.
  • Create scenes under various conditions with realistic and editorial lighting to highlight product texture, color, and quality.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot studio workflows, timelines, and equipment in a professional and positive manner.
  • Work synergistically with the styling team and Studio Manager to organize workflows and drive production forward.
  • Manage and maintain photo and video equipment, storage, and inventory.
  • Develop and uphold studio processes to improve efficiency and output quality.
  • Support Studio team members and external stakeholders to achieve company goals.
  • Research industry trends and contribute to pre-production planning.
  • Collaborate on the evolution and maintenance of the Data Asset Management System (DAM).
  • Adapt to multiple visual brand identities and contribute to brand guide development for lifestyle brands and licensed partners.

Requirements

  • Exceptional digital photography, lighting, and compositional skills.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating lifestyle and interiors photography and video (link required with resume).
  • Post-secondary education or 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial photography.
  • Preference for photographers with soft goods experience.
  • Interest in home interiors, lifestyle brands, online commerce, consumer behaviors, social media, and digital content trends.
  • Acute attention to detail with the ability to balance big-picture vision.
  • Drive to collaborate and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
  • Expertise in Capture One; Mac proficiency required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Photoshop preferred.
  • Proficiency with multiple camera and lighting systems for video and still photography.
  • Agile in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and basic familiarity with Excel.
  • Experience with project management systems like Trello is ideal but not required.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, learn, and push new ideologies.

Pay

$65,000 - $80,000
