This role is more than just shooting or editing — it’s about being a complete content developer. From behind the camera to the keyboard to digital publishing, you’ll be part of every step of the storytelling process.

Responsibilities

• Shoot news video, interviews, and daily assignments in the field
• Edit content for broadcast newscasts and digital platforms
• Contribute daily to KXAN.com and social platforms:
• Photos
• Video
• Written content (as needed)
• Great team player
• Curious to explore and find out what’s happening in the field
• Work closely with reporters, producers, and digital teams to build strong, complete stories
• Manage and maintain assigned equipment responsibly

Qualifications

• Strong storytelling instincts (visual and editorial)
• Ability to shoot, edit, and contribute to digital platforms
• Self-starter who can work independently and on deadline
• Team player who communicates well and adapts quickly
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
