About the role

This volunteer photographer will create and edit high-quality images of adoptable dogs and support other marketing needs for Path of Hope Rescue. Because the organization has no kennel and relies entirely on foster-based adoptions, compelling photos directly impact how quickly dogs find homes.

Responsibilities

  • Check into the workplace app once daily (Monday–Friday).
  • Respond “yes” or “no” to photo requests within 24 hours.
  • Travel to foster homes or a central location to photograph adoptable dogs.
  • Edit photos as desired and upload them to the shared drive within 48 hours of each shoot.
  • Organize files on the shared drive for easy access by the marketing team.
  • Edit additional photos for marketing campaigns in collaboration with other marketing volunteers.

Needed Skills

  • Basic knowledge of photography and editing.
  • Ability to convey emotion and story through imagery.
  • Self-motivated and committed—follow through on what you say you will do.
  • Timely and expeditious—quality photos must be ready before a dog can be advertised for adoption.
  • Reliable transportation, camera equipment, and ability to access online tools (computer or tablet).

Role Mission

Create and edit high-quality photography of adoptable dogs and other marketing needs of the Rescue.
