Summary

Entravision is looking for a versatile Editor / Camera Operator to join our national Spanish-language streaming news team. This hybrid role is ideal for a visual storyteller who is equally comfortable behind the camera and in the edit suite, producing compelling content for streaming, broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.

Essential Functions

  • Shoot high-quality video in the field and in studio for news stories, live events, interviews, special projects, and breaking news.
  • Edit daily news content, including reporter packages, interviews, features, promos, and digital-first content.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, writers, and graphic designers to create engaging visual storytelling.
  • Operate professional broadcast cameras, lighting, audio, and related production equipment.
  • Capture compelling video, natural sound, and interviews that strengthen storytelling.
  • Edit content with strong pacing, creativity, and attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Adapt quickly to breaking news and changing editorial priorities.
  • Ensure all content meets Entravision's editorial, technical, and production standards.
  • Assist with live field productions and special event coverage as needed.
  • Maintain and properly care for assigned production equipment.

Required Education And Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a camera operator, editor, or multimedia journalist in a television newsroom, streaming, or digital news environment.
  • Fluent, near-native Spanish speaking and writing skills are required.
  • Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and modern non-linear editing systems.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and creative editing style.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and in high-pressure breaking news situations.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel on assignment.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during major breaking news coverage.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles, when required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full Time position. Actual schedule and hours may vary.

Supervisory Responsibility

Reports directly to VP Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives for Broadcast.
