The Photo Retoucher / Color Correction Specialist at Fashion Nova is responsible for editing a high volume of eCommerce and creative images captured daily in the photo studio and on location. Key responsibilities include coordinating, tracking retouching and color management, creating color variants, ensuring color consistency, and performing quality assurance.
- Coordinate, track the retouching and color management across multiple high-volume streams of images
- Maintain communication between key stakeholders throughout the color process
- Ensure on-schedule delivery of all assets in accordance with production calendars and daily / weekly deadlines
- Perform quality assurance on all images
This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of color theory, and adherence to best practices in post-production color management. It also involves engaging in detailed, technical discussions about the properties of an image and giving and receiving constructive feedback.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience as a Photo Retoucher in a studio environment, ideally within the fashion eCommerce industry
- Proven experience in photo retouching and color manipulation, supported by a strong portfolio with before-and-after examples
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop
- Strong knowledge of color theory, with the ability to perform color corrections, adjustments, and creative color grading to enhance product imagery
- Detail oriented, organized, and methodical approach to retouching
- Enthusiasm for exploring new techniques and improving existing workflows
- Knowledge of studio photography and lighting practices, including familiarity with photographic vocabulary and terminology
- Passion for teamwork and collaboration
- Willingness to give and receive constructive feedback
A Bachelor's degree in Photography or equivalent professional experience is preferred, but not required. Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are an asset.
