Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking a Phlebotomist Tech for our Laboratory Draw Centers located across the Treasure Valley. This is a PRN day shift position. In this role, you will apply your phlebotomy/Lab Tech experience and skills to collect blood samples, identify patients, transport specimens, and perform related clerical and computer functions.

What You Will Do

• Collections blood samples
• Correctly identifies patients
• Transports specimens
• Performs all related clerical and computer functions
• Registers, orders, processes, and distributes specimens for laboratory testing
• Utilizes relevant computer programs and performs data entry
• Serves as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests
• Maintains quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories
• Reports results received

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred
