Phlebotomy Technician
About the role
Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Labels, centrifuges, splits, and freezes specimens as required by test order. Packages specimens for transport. Stores specimen samples according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, accurately labels, and follows protocol‑specific procedures to maintain specimen integrity during transport.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working as a Phlebotomist in a lab and hospital setting (mandatory)
- Pediatric and geriatric experience (mandatory)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred)
- Must be located closer to Elgin, Texas
Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.82 – $22.24 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
