Phlebotomy Technician

About the role

This is a contract, fully onsite position based in Derby, KS.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and handle decontamination.
• Update patient information.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature, place samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes, and accurately label them.
• Follow specific procedures outlined by protocol to maintain specimen integrity during transport.

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience working as a Phlebotomist in a lab and hospital setting (mandatory).
• Pediatric and geriatric experience (mandatory).
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred).

Pay

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour.
