About the Role

The Phlebotomy Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood samples from patients. Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent. - Completion of a phlebotomy training program (preferred). - Previous experience in a clinical or laboratory setting (preferred). - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages, ensuring a high level of comfort and care. - Accurately label and process blood samples for laboratory analysis, adhering to strict protocols to maintain specimen integrity. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of biohazard materials and equipment. - Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and address any concerns, fostering a supportive atmosphere. - Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results.
