About the role

As a Float Phlebotomist, you will gain diverse experience working with various patients, team members, and clinics/locations. This role provides variety, skill development, and opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Phlebotomy Services Technicians (PSTs) may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Additionally, this position includes an extra $1.00/hour plus mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification, completed Phlebotomy training program, or 6+ months of experience as a phlebotomist
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is acceptable
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
• Must be 21 years or older

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience

Schedule

This is a Per Diem/Casual position with hours assigned as needed based on business demands, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, including Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees, are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
