About the Role

We are seeking a Lab Assistant to join HCA HealthONE Rose, part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of healthcare services. In this role, you will ensure high-quality, efficient care by organizing and managing specimen procurement, receipt, and processing. You will work with diverse age groups, from neonates to geriatric patients, and serve as a key interface between hospitals, departments, physicians, and laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient organization and effectiveness of the specimen procurement, receipt, and processing area.
• Provide age-specific techniques in specimen collection and care for neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.
• Answer telephones, address questions regarding specimen collection and time elements, and interface with hospitals, departments, physicians, and reference laboratories.
• Obtain blood specimens and perform general laboratory duties.
• Deliver quality service with strong customer service and communication skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
• Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy program preferred.
• Experience in a hospital laboratory is desired but not required.
• Basic computer skills needed.
