Phlebotomy Instructor - Part Time
Job Description
This position is an entry point for the pool of qualified applicants to be selected for anticipated part-time temporary positions working under the guidance of the Texas State Technical College Corporate College.
Essential Functions
- Demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
- Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
- Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including but not limited to continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
- Complete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills
- Educational requirements vary based on the training need.
- Two years related experience relevant to subject needs.
- Current phlebotomy certification (e.g., NHA, ASPT, AMCA, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, safety standards, and patient care.
- Teaching or training experience in a healthcare or workforce setting.
- Experience in clinical coordination or healthcare partnerships.
