Phlebotomy Coordinator
About the role
Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Responsibilities
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order
- Package specimens for transport
- Store specimen samples according to required temperature, place samples in appropriate collection container/tube, accurately label, follow different procedures as outlined by specific protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen
Requirements
- 6+ months of experience working as a Phlebotomist in lab & hospital is mandatory
- Pediatric & geriatric experience is mandatory
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred
Pay
$18.00 - $18.61/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
