Phlebotomist Supervisor
Job Responsibilities
Supervise a team of approximately 20-35 or more phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices in Berkeley, California area
Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals
Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed
Travel to additional sites as necessary
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
1 or more years of experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree
3 or more years’ phlebotomy experience working in clinical / hospital environment
2 or more years' assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)
3 or more years' phlebotomy managerial or supervisory or team leader experience

- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Able to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Be at least 21 years old
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
Pay
$70,304 - $94,474 annually
