Phlebotomist Plasma Donation Center
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Reviews donor records for donation suitability.
- Performs donation set-up activities.
- Performs venipuncture for donation.
- Performs phlebotomy for whole blood sample draws.
- Determines vein suitability for donation.
- Makes sure donors are safe during the donation process and addresses any safety concerns immediately.
- Manages donor reactions and troubleshoots pheresis equipment issues.
- Performs routine equipment cleaning and supply restocking as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 1 years' experience working in a regulated environment is preferred.
- A minimum of 6 months' experience performing phlebotomy in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional communication and the ability to inform and report appropriately to management.
- Scheduling flexibility to ensure appropriate center support and coverage.
- Ability to execute multi-step technical driven tasks.
- Familiarization with electronic systems/platforms used to organize, track, and execute tasks.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Required Education
- A high school diploma or equivalent such as a GED.
