Phlebotomist Per Diem

About the role
As a Phlebotomist, you will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company. This role offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and may include eligibility for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed
- Travel to additional sites when required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 3+ months of experience as a phlebotomist
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ months of phlebotomy experience
Schedule
This is a casual/per diem position with hours as needed. Start and end times vary, with availability required Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
