Phlebotomist Part Time

About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist to join our team at 15211 VanOwen Street, Suite 319, Van Nuys, CA 91405. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company as a key point of contact for patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• California state-issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). In lieu of this, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at the time of hire may meet the requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist (preferred).
• Current or prior experience at LabCorp (preferred).

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 7:30 am – 12:30 pm, with additional days and hours as needed.
