Major Responsibilities
- Collects and transports blood samples from inpatients and outpatients.
- Maintains drug screen collections and documents chain of custody.
- Monitors workload and resolves issues.
- Assists with clerical duties and specimen/report transport as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification: Eligible for certification as a phlebotomist.
- Education: High School or GED Diploma Graduate, completed approved phlebotomy training course, or 6 months phlebotomy experience in a hospital or other patient care setting.
- Experience: Completion of approved phlebotomy training course, or 6 months phlebotomy experience in a hospital or other patient care setting.
