Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant

About the role

We're Patient's Choice, a healthcare provider dedicated to delivering top-notch care with a personal touch. We're seeking a skilled and experienced phlebotomist to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Perform proper procedures for specimen collection including Venipuncture, Capillary sticks, Urinalysis, Glucose Tolerances, and First Aid
• Register patients and interact courteously and professionally
• Affirm patient identification and properly label specimens
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and complete assignments on time
• Display a professional attitude and personal appearance
• Be familiar with Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communications, and Laboratory Safety Manuals
• Handle patients with adverse reactions to venipuncture
• Use computers and technology for data entry
• Notify physicians of critical lab results
• Ensure a clean and organized phlebotomy area
• Perform additional duties as requested by a supervisor

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience (preferred)
• A high school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Completion of a Phlebotomy course (preferred)

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented position
• Strong organizational skills and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation

Pay

$20 - $23 per hour
