Phlebotomist - Laboratory * Days 40hrs/wk

General Purpose Of Job:

Following established procedures, obtains blood specimens for clinical laboratory analysis for the patient population served by UMH-West. Distributes specimens promptly to the laboratory, performs waived point-of-care testing and maintains clinical and professional competency.

Education

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of college (pre-med or pre-MLS) preferred

License / Certification / Registration

• Certification preferred, after one year of experience with ASCP, ASPT, NCA, and AMT

Experience

• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training/experience preferred
