Phlebotomist II

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Santa Fe, NM. Pay range starts at $21.50 per hour; offers consider skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and market factors. Eligible for annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens (drug screens, biometric screenings, insurance exams) according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions following training protocols.
• Research and confirm test/client information using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate computer systems to accurately enter data, billing information, and collect payments as required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient-facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Assist with compiling and submitting statistics and data when required.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (e.g., maintenance, temperature logs) in a timely manner.
• Complete online and in-person training courses on time.

Requirements

• Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible availability based on staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on-call, overtime).
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Effective communication in English.
