Phlebotomist II
About the role
Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Suwanee, GA 30024. The Phlebotomist II represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The Phlebotomist II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information and initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

- Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, is preferred. Phlebotomy certification is also preferred and required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Skills
1-3 years of phlebotomy experience is required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred, as well as customer service experience in a retail or service environment and keyboard/data entry experience.

Pay
The pay range is $21.70/hr to $23.25/hr, based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Schedule
The schedule is days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a contract length of 13 weeks.
