Phlebotomist - Hospital Based - 1st shift

About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist-Hospitals to join our team in Worcester, MA. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. You’ll also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience as an in-patient phlebotomist
• Current or previous LabCorp experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay

$18.00 – $24.00 per hour (all job offers based on skills, prior experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity and market data)
