About the role

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Leesville, LA (71446). In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company in a client office setting. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Schedule

  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Additional hours may be requested as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed (reliable transportation required)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is required
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment
  • 2 or more years of experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric to geriatric)
  • Current or prior LabCorp experience
