Phlebotomist Floater

About the role

The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) supports a healthcare facility in Lawrenceville, GA 30046. The position involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and maintaining a safe and professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company to patients, both routine and for health decisions.
• Draw blood samples from patients following established practices and procedures.
• Create a trusting atmosphere by explaining procedures and ensuring patient safety.
• Perform specimen verification and maintain required records.
• Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Exercise good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Have excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Be flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Follow all policies and procedures, including Company dress code, Employee Health & Safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

Requirements

• Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Valid driver license and clean driving record, if applicable.
• Reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Confidence in handling forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Superior customer focus.

Pay

Pay range: $23.86/hr to $26.54/hr, based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Schedule

Eastern - Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm (8-hour shifts daily) with rotational Saturdays.
