Phlebotomist, Float - Straub Benioff Medical Clinic & Urgent Care

Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities

• Makes sure laboratory specimens are appropriately collected (including phlebotomy), processed, prepared, routed, and stored
• Recognizes when corrective action is needed and implements effective solutions
• Works in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements
• Supports multiple locations
• Champions safety, compliance, and quality control

Position Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms
• Bonus points if you have 1-2 years of related experience in clinical laboratory, data entry, or production
• Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
