Phlebotomist Float Full Time

About the role
As a Phlebotomist Float, you will perform blood collections, specimen processing, and administrative duties while delivering exceptional customer service. You will travel to various sites, including Patient Service Centers and Client offices, and serve as the face of Labcorp. This role offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and eligibility for a quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
- Accurately and timely enter patient information into data systems
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 9 months or more of experience as a Phlebotomist
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Pay
Pay range: $18.29 to $28.49 per hour. An additional $1.00 per hour float incentive plus mileage reimbursement is provided. All job offers are based on skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours per week are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, with hours varying from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Additional hours or days may be required.
