About the role
As a Float Phlebotomist, you will travel to various sites, gaining diverse experience while working with different patients, team members, and clinics. This role provides variety, skill development, and opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. Phlebotomy Service Technicians (PSTs) may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which includes a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Additional compensation includes an extra $1.00/hour plus mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification, completed Phlebotomy training program, or 6+ months of experience as a phlebotomist
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) Plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
