Phlebotomist Job Summary
Collects, processes, and delivers specimens to appropriate sections of the Laboratory for testing as ordered by the Physician. Actively participates in outstanding customer service.

Essential Accountabilities
- Show accountability by being trustworthy, responsible, and dependable while taking ownership of actions.
- Establish proficiency in collecting patient samples correctly, and proficiency and accuracy with laboratory EMR system for accurate order entry, faxing and printing, and scheduling.
- Must be comfortable with fast paced environment and be able to multitask.
- Exercise independent judgement and can work under minimal supervision.
Qualification
- Education: Phlebotomy training is preferred but not required. ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required.
- Experience: Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred but not required. Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required.
