Phlebotomist - Bilingual/Spanish

About the role

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 36 College Avenue, Nanuet, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience
• Bilingual in Spanish

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• Phlebotomy certification or a completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75/hour to $25.00/hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the Phlebotomist Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.

Schedule

Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm and every other Saturday 7:00 am to 11:30 am
