About the role

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in New Brunswick, NJ, working in either our Somerset PSC or Princeton PSC. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company as its face. You will also have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• In lieu of work experience, certification or training must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

• Current or previous LabCorp experience
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Bilingual in Spanish

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, and alternating Saturdays, 6:30 am - 11:00 am.

Pay

Pay range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
