Phlebotomist
Job Summary
The Phlebotomist is responsible for performing blood collection procedures within areas of competency. Receives and processes laboratory specimens, answers department phone, inventory and receives supplies. When acting as the Laboratory Assistant, in addition to Phlebotomist duties, responsible to coordinate collections among Phlebotomists.
Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED required; formal phlebotomy training preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: None
- Experience: One-year hospital preferred.
