About the role

As a Phlebotomist, you will work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company. You will have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday: 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends: 5:30 AM - 9:00 AM
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
