Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License
• 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Current or prior experience with Labcorp
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Preferred Qualifications: 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
• Additional Job Standards: Able to pass a standardized color blindness test, Strong communication skills; both written and verbal, Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service, Ability to work independently or in a team environment, Comfortable working under minimal supervision, Flexibility to work overtime as needed, Able to attend 2‑week training in California

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $23.00 - $33.00

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for these benefits. Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
