Responsibilities
- Assist in determining the suitability of donors.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions.
- Maintain monitoring of donor and equipment to ensure health of donors and quality of product.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate the automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment.

Company Information
Phlebotomist at Grifols is a position that involves assisting in the suitability determination of donors, establishing rapport with donors, responding to and assisting with donor reactions, maintaining monitoring of donor and equipment, setting up, disconnecting, and operating automated plasmapheresis machines, and disconnecting and disposing of contaminated disposable equipment. The ideal candidate should have superior customer service standards, a High School diploma or GED, the ability to work a flexible schedule, an interest in making a difference in the world, and obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable. This position is located in a plasma center and requires exposure to biological fluids, electrical office and laboratory equipment, extreme cold, personal protective equipment, standing for 6 to 8 hours per day, bending and twisting neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day, frequent hand movement, precise coordinated movements, frequent foot movement, light lifting, reaching below shoulder height, hearing acuity, color perception/discrimination, near vision, and far vision.
