Responsibilities
- Aid in assessing donor suitability.
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure their comfort and satisfaction, maintaining donor confidentiality.
- Respond to and assist with donor reactions.
- Maintain the health of donors and the quality of the product.
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.

- Required state licensures or certifications where applicable.

- Comprehension and following of instructions.

Pay
The estimated pay scale for the Phlebotomist role in California is $18.81 per hour. The position is also eligible to participate in up to 4% of the company bonus pool.
Schedule
Work is performed in a plasma center, involving exposure to biological fluids, electrical office and laboratory equipment, extreme cold, and personal protective equipment. Physical demands include standing for 6-8 hours per day, bending and twisting neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day, frequent hand movement, precise finger coordination, frequent foot movement, and light lifting of 15lbs. with a maximum lift of 50lbs.
