The posted compensation range of $16.06 - $22.69 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. To be successful in this role, you will possess the precise clinical skills for blood collection and specimen handling, coupled with a genuine passion for helping others. You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a special talent for making patients feel comfortable during blood work, while adhering to lab collection turnaround times.
Practices positive patient identification at all times, in all job functions.
Practices HumanKindness and courtesy with all patient and co-worker interactions. Establishes and maintains good communication within the department and with other hospital departments.
Compliance with isolation and hand sanitization procedures.
Follows blood collection procedures, performs venous and capillary punctures on all age groups of inpatient and outpatient populations. Utilizes appropriate collection techniques to obtain quality samples and adheres to appropriate volume requirements.
Maintains order and cleanliness of phlebotomy trays, stations and storage rooms.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
Preferred
- 3 months phlebotomy in an acute care facility
- Phlebotomy Technician certification
