Employment Type Part time Shift Day Shift Description Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Lab Hartford CT You would be responsible to obtain blood specimens at Hartford area nursing homes, to process laboratory specimens for clinical analysis and to provide patient information to the appropriate care giver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Dependable transportation is required and good driving record. What Will You Do Properly identifies patient per policy and performs venipuncture using standard/butterfly methodsLabels all specimens following laboratory policyReceives/cancels/orders and processes laboratory/microbiology specimens Work Hours/Shift 24hrs, Day Shift (6am-2:30pm), e/o wknd, rotating holidays, servicing Hartford area nursing homes. On-Call Hours Requirements High School Diploma or GEDCompletion of Phlebotomy Training ProgramAt least one year of phlebotomy experienceNational Certification preferredDependable transportation for travel to nursing homes. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
