Phlebotomist - 24 hrs - Evenings - 2-10:30pm
About the Role
You will be responsible for obtaining blood specimens, processing laboratory specimens for clinical analysis, and providing patient information to the appropriate caregiver. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients.
Responsibilities
- Properly identify patients per policy and perform venipuncture using standard/butterfly methods.
- Label all specimens following laboratory policy.
- Receive, cancel, order, and process laboratory/microbiology specimens.
Schedule
24 hours per week, evening shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM), every other weekend, rotating holidays. Occasional work in processing at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Cancer Center.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Phlebotomy Training Program.
- At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
- National Certification preferred.
