Phlebotomist 1

About the Role

The Phlebotomist 1 (P1) provides a vital link in the procurement of a safe, quality blood product. This position requires working in Donor Centers and Mobile Collections as needed, with regular travel between assigned work areas to support other locations/projects in Texoma and North Texas. A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required if designated.

This role may require working varied shifts, extended hours, weekends, and/or overtime to support operational needs. Regular, full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with smooth, efficient donor flow.
• Determine donor acceptability.
• Perform sterile venipuncture for collection of blood products.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) throughout the entire donation process.
• Exemplify and champion Carter BloodCare (CBC) Core Values and Code of Conduct.
• Adhere to CBC policies and applicable departmental SOPs.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as assigned to support ongoing development and organizational goals.
