PHL Pre-K Assistant Teacher - Full Time

About the role

We are seeking an assistant teacher who is passionate about nurturing young minds, connecting with our community, and having fun.

Responsibilities

• Aid in planning and implementing dynamic curricula to offer fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient childcare environment for both children and families.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
• Safeguard each child in your care by identifying, hearing, directing, and assisting them, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Comply with YMCA, state, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines to uphold high standards in childcare.

Requirements

• Either a CDA credential or an Associates Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution.
• Two years (2500 hours) of verified childcare experience and compliance with all DHS child care requirements.

Qualifications

Must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license if driving is required.
