About the role

The Philanthropy Officer position at Adena Health is part of the Major Gifts team. This role involves managing a portfolio of 100-120 individuals with the capacity to make gifts of $5k+ from newly identified grateful patient prospects and proactive prospects. Key responsibilities include qualifying major gift prospects, moving prospects through all stages of the donor cycle, developing compelling gift opportunities, making successful asks and closes, and partnering with providers and internal leaders to engage AHF donors.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of successful major gifts development experience
• Prioritization of tasks and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors
• Experience in prospect research and analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Advanced degree preferred

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of fundraising software
