Philanthropy Events & Donor Engagement Manager

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION

The Philanthropy Events & Donor Engagement Manager develops strategies and oversees the planning and execution of fund-raising and stewardship events for the Philanthropy Department. This position reports to the Director of Philanthropy Events & Donor Engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the Donor Engagement Team, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
• Strategize, plan, and implement fund-raising and stewardship events for major donors and prospects.
• Carry out details and logistics of all philanthropic events and lead/participate in future event development.
• Establish and negotiate underwriter benefits, identify and solicit underwriting prospects, and is responsible for fulfilling benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in large event planning and logistics, leading and mentoring a team, donor relations, and fundraising development.
• Comfortable working both independently and with a team.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship best practices.
• Able to operate Philanthropy software such as Raiser's Edge, with the ability to generate complex queries, exports, and reports.
• Superior communication and persuasion skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a wide range of constituents, colleagues, and personalities.
• Able to operate moderately complex computer software programs.
• Able to creatively produce effective programming for a variety of audiences.
• Able to apply creative thinking in problem-solving situations.
• Proficient in organization and experience working on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
