PHD Psychologist (Developmental Pediatrics)

About the role

The position is in the Child Development Center. Working with patients with a variety of developmental disorders. Experience in evaluation and diagnosis of developmental disorders, testing, and evaluation is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal, quality services to clients.
  • Responsible for completion of client medical records, in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develops discharge plans and linkages aimed to encourage functioning within the community.

Requirements

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Doctoral degree in Psychology or Social Work and three to five years of previous work-related experience. Must demonstrate sound clinical judgment. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred. PhD or PsyD license required commensurate to degree or post-doctoral permit by the state of New Jersey. Work requires the analytical ability to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems. Work requires the ability to prepare detailed assessments of patient referrals, counseling individual, group or family members, or perform other duties requiring a comparable level of communication skill.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology or Social Work.

Salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
