PHC Technician and Tree Crew Member

Responsibilities

  • Ability to follow ANSI, TCIA, and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to diagnose diseased trees.
  • Clean and inspect equipment at end of the day.
  • Properly mix and load PHC products.
  • Identify local tree species and understand growth rates.
  • Utilize all aspects of PHC tools.
  • Maintain PHC records and turn them into the office.
  • Work in all types of weather/seasons, this position is year-round when working with tree crew in hot and cold temperatures.
  • Able to lift approximately 50lbs.
  • Operate a variety of different equipment (compact track aerial lifts, mini loaders, grinders, chippers, log trucks, winch, power/hand saws, etc.) to remove and trim trees with the tree crew.
  • Properly maintain equipment and tools by conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Understand how to properly remove and identify dead/excess branches from trees.
  • Ability to climb trees using hooks, belts, ropes, and ladders to gain access to work areas is helpful but not required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License Required.
  • Inventory PHC products and inform the office to order when needed.
  • A minimum of a Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently at times.
  • Able to work with tree crew for full-time employment.
  • Love of the Outdoors as your office with impressive views, year-round.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
